Families
Whether you know it or not, your family has a story. It is one of my greatest joys to help you find it and capture it, so that you have those memories safe forever. Your story will change over the years as your family grows. Photos truly have the power to stop time. Don't let any more go by before you capture these moments, before it's too late.
On this page are a small selection of the families who have given me the privilege of telling their stories. Your story will be unique to you, but I hope you enjoy these as much as I did. I am a 'Natural Light Photographer', which means that I don't use studio lighting. I use the beauty of the sun's natural light, preferably in outdoor settings. Before each shoot I talk to you about the personality of your family, the things you like to do together and favourite places you go. We can choose a location that suits who you are- it may be a park, the bush, the beach or your own home. I have the experience to help guide you through the process, but also love letting your creativity shine through if you have your own ideas. Of course, I can also do sessions for couples or singles, pregnancy sessions, newborns, and even birth. I can accommodate pets or large extended families. Pricing I am always completely up front about the cost of my sessions. There will be no hidden costs, nothing to pay later. A Full Package includes a session of up to two hours, and all photos of the session on USB or via digital download for you to use as you please. I have found this is what most people are after, rather than a cheap session rate and then paying exorbitant amounts for individual photos. The current Full Package is only $550, with extended family shoots (multiple family groups in one sitting) a little extra. Please also ask about prices to make your memories into an album. I look forward to hearing from you: 0414 807 053 or Email me here. Here are a small selection of newborns taken from many sessions. All were captured in the privacy and comfort of their own home. The newborn phase can be such a blur and is gone in the blink of an eye. Don't rely on iphone photos to capture the beauty of these fleeting moments. Newborn photos are best taken before the baby is 12 days old, as they are still drowsy tend to sleep through anything, and are much easier to pose and 'play with'!
This extended family is very rarely all together, so they took the opportunity to capture this gathering! It was special to capture them as a group, but also see the personalities of the individual families come out in the smaller groups. There were so many different people combinations that it was hard to decide which ones to share here! This is a great way to have economical photos taken- divide the cost between a few families!
This family wanted some portraits that they could frame and display, but in a beautiful setting. I love that they now have this record- this gift- of each of their girls at this transitional stage of life. And it was fun seeing how much Dad loves his girls- all four of them!
One of the hardest realities of life is that it brings death. Saying that final goodbye to a family member will be the hardest thing you'll do. I have had many people tell me how thankful they are to have a beautiful photographic record of the day- a day that is usually a blur of emotion, impeding the ability to take in the details, or even notice who was there. I offer packages for funerals and the wake which will help you treasure the love and support shown to you on this day, the hardest of days.

This brave and beautiful family had not long journeyed with their youngest through the agony of double lower limb amputation. Their joyfulness was contagious, and Little E's enthusiasm for life was nothing short of inspiring. They are a true 'outdoors' family and chose a setting that they spend much time in, and love. The last photo is my favourite- Mum and son walking hand in hand to the beauty that lies ahead.
This family asked me to do a photo shoot in honour of their daughter turning one. Their dog had been their first 'baby', so she was included too! Then I was asked back less than two years later to honour the first birthday of their second born: a son. This shoot was particularly significant as he had spent much time in hospital as a baby, and the celebration of his birthday was something to be truly grateful for. Both shoots were done in their home- but at different locations, the second particularly special as they had recently finished building the home.
This was the first photo shoot this family had had since blending their families. They wanted to keep it super casual, and make it comfortable for the kids, so I spent 1 1/2 hours mostly following the kids around, capturing their unique personalities. Made for a very fun shoot.
This is the third of four photo shoots I have done for this family, but this four year old's Princess Party was definitely the most moving. Her dad was undergoing treatment for an aggressive and rare form of cancer, and nobody could guarantee that he would be there for her next birthday. He was sick and weak, but he was THERE. And his princesses will forever have these memories of such as special time with their dad.
This very 'outdoors' family had recently achieved their dream of buying a property big enough to kick a football around in. So, naturally, they wanted the photo shoot to take place in their yard! And a stunning yard it was. I think the last shot says it all.
What a joy to share some special time with this couple who had waited 6 years for the wonder of new life to be theirs. I was actually there to shoot the baby shower, and the couple asked to have a few 'belly shots' taken too. They wanted simple photos, without baring any flesh, that would capture the beauty of life within another life.
